Cookies and cakes may be associated with extra calories but a new study has found that including desserts in your daily breakfast diet could help you achieve your long-term weight loss goals.
Results show that volunteers who ate sweets as part of a balanced 600-calorie diet lost an average of 18 kilograms more than those who did not. They also maintained their new weight for a longer period of time.
Researchers say it’s better to consume desserts in the morning when the body’s metabolism is at its peak. Trying to avoid sweets completely only leads to more cravings in the future.
