People with Ned Kelly tattoos are more likely to die a traumatic death, through murder or suicide, than the general population, research from the University of Adelaide has found.
The research investigated the cause of death for South Australian men with Ned Kelly inspired tattoos. It found they were nearly eight times more likely to have been murdered and nearly three times more likely to have killed themselves.
In the past, researchers have linked violent deaths with antisocial tattoos.
