Diana Kelly

Diana Kelly has been at the University of Wollongong in academic roles since 1983. Her research areas have included most areas of employment and industrial relations, particularly with reference to the steel industry, as well as history of employment relations/industrial relations (ER/IR) and management thought, OHS and workplace bullying, and governance in higher education as well as women in history and aspects of early twentieth century US history. Previously, she taught ER/IR, research methods, and HRM/OB; more recently she has returned to teaching and researching in history. She has been a successful thesis supervisor, having supervised at least 15 dissertations to completion in the last decade. She has undertaken a number of senior university-wide roles and was Chair of Academic Senate 2008-2014, as well as with the NSW and national bodies of Chairs of Academic Boards and Senates. She has has lectured and been consulted about good academic governance in Australia and UK. Diana Kelly is currently writing a history of a Russian immigrant who was a socialist exponent of scientific management in USA for a book "Walter Polakov, The Red Taylorist.
