Most of my career has been as an academic in Organisation Behaviour, and my last position was as Director of the Doctor of Business Administration at Swinburne University of Technology. I have two Doctorates, one in Philosophy (Organisation Culture, Leadership, Conflict and Change) the other in Education, dealing with the concept of the Entrepreneurial University. After retiring I held the position of Research Fellow at Swinburne, and supervised 16 PhD's to successful completion.
At the same time I was CEO of a Distributorship of Automation Products, then became the Chairman of that Company and finally a consultant, more as a friend of the Directors.
I am married and have twin sons. I live in Box Hill. Happily I have had a house at Flinders for many years which we use very consistently. I now have terminal cancer but one does not know when it will strike.
