Jane Caro is a media commentator, writer and senior lecturer in advertising with the School of Communication Arts at UWS.

A copywriter with 30 years experience in the advertising industry, Jane is a regular panellist on the ABC TV's The Gruen Transfer, and fills in regularly when Richard Aedy goes on holidays as host of ABC Radio National’s iconic program Life Matters.

Her other media roles include appearances on Channel 7's Sunrise, ABC’s Q&A, and is now a semi-regular panellist on Richard Glover’s Political Forum on ABC 702 and Mornings with Kerri-Anne.

Jane Caro has published two books: The Stupid Country: How Australia is Dismantling Public Education, co-authored with Chris Bonnor, and The F Word: how we learned to swear by feminism , co-authored with Catherine Fox.

She remains in high demand by advertising agencies as a freelance writer and her advertising work has won many national and international advertising awards including Cannes, AWARD, London International, ATV, Asia Pacific, One Show, Mobius, Kinsale, and Caxton.

Jane's particular interests include women, families and education. She is on the Boards of The Public Education Foundation and Bell Shakespeare and has published a novel, Just a Girl.
