Director of Cancer Programs, Cancer Council NSW; PhD Candidate in Nutrition & Dietetics, University of Sydney

Kathy has a Bachelor of Science degree and Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics and she is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. She is an accredited practicing dietitian and has more than 20 years experience working in both public health and clinical settings.

As Director of Cancer Programs at the Cancer Council NSW, Kathy Chapman is responsible for leading the cancer prevention work of Cancer Council NSW in nutrition, skin cancer prevention, and tobacco control. This includes research and development, implementation and evaluation of programs to encourage Australians to be healthier. Kathy also leads the supportive care programs that Cancer Council NSW delivers to people affected by cancer

Kathy has worked at Cancer Council since 2002 and has grown the organisation's focus on nutrition and cancer prevention both in NSW and nationally. Kathy is also the chair of Cancer Council Australia’s Nutrition and Physical Activity.
