Paul Maginn

Assoc Professor of Urban/Regional Planning at University of Western Australia

Summary

Paul Maginn is Programme Co-ordinator for Urban and Regional Planning at UWA and Deputy Director of the recently established UWA AHURI Research Centre. He was the Chair of the 2011 World Planning Schools Congress (Perth, WA, 4-7 July 2011) - www.wpsc2011.com.au.

Paul's primary research expertise and interests lie in urban policy, community participation, race/ethnic issues and qualitative methods. He is the author/co-editor of 3 books and is currently co-editing a fourth book, Planning Australia: An Overview of Urban and Regional Planning (2nd Ed) with Assoc Professor Susan Thompson (UNSW).

Paul is currently conducting research on the geographies and regulation of adult/sex entertainment and retailing in Australia with Dr Christine Steinmetz (UNSW).
