Professor of Social Impact, University of Technology Sydney

Rachel is currently Professor of Social Impact at UTS Business school. With extensive experience in a diverse range of social science research and expertise in research methodology, Rachel is a passionate educator and advocate for evidence informed education and social policy.

Rachel is currently researching education system management, architecture and accountability; and its impact upon teachers' work and students' educational outcomes. She has expertise in data, assessment, evaluation and research translation for social impact. Rachel has degrees in psychology, audiology, teaching, research methods and higher education. She completed her doctoral study in 2002 in child development and education as a scholarship holder at Oxford University. In all her research in education Rachel maintains a strong focus upon students' and teachers' lived experience of the system.
