Dr Tom Hatton leads a national team of multidisciplinary researchers with skills in areas as diverse as:
- ocean and climate modelling and forecasting
- sustainable fisheries
-marine biodiversity and conservation
- development of novel marine industries
- subsea oil and gas exploration and recovery
- management of diverse, competing uses of the oceans.
He brings together large teams from within CSIRO and across our partner organisations to deliver significant outcomes for government, industry and the community.

Dr Hatton is also Chair of the State of the Environment, 2011.
