Ten years ago today, on September 11th 2001, al-Qaida terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington. Passengers on a fourth jet overpowered hijackers, bringing it down in a field. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives that day.
In a video produced for the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, some of those caught in New York that day tell their stories.
