Dr Catherine Happer is Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Director of the Glasgow University Media Group. She is interested in media and social change. Her most recent work looks at social media use and the impacts of content moderation on public discourse. She has also examined the impact of media coverage of climate change/sustainability and the potential for behavioural change. She previously worked in the BBC audience research department and as a Television Researcher/Assistant Producer before returning to the University of Glasgow. She is co-author of Communicating Climate Change and Energy Security: New Methods in Understanding Audiences and Trump's Media War.
