Professor Marcus Lane is the Dean (Academic) of the Arts, Education and Law Group at Griffith University.

Prior to joining Griffith University in 2013, Professor Lane led the Social and Economic Program with CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems.

Marcus has a background in human geography and environmental planning and his research has been centrally concerned with environmental management and governance across Australia and the Pacific.
