To multitask better, learn to meditate first

A new study shows that training in meditation before multitasking could make an information-crazed workday less stressful.

Meditation can help people working with information stay on tasks longer with fewer distractions. It also improves memory and reduces stress.

While it is known that certain forms of meditation increase concentration and reduce emotional stress, this study demonstrates that meditation may also impart these benefits for people in stressful, information-intensive environments.
