PhD Candidate and Sessional Lecturer - Public International Law, The University of Melbourne

Anna is a lecturer at Melbourne Law School at the University of Melbourne.

Her academic research focuses primarily on public international law. She has a particular interest in international law and security issues, the law of international organisations, international human rights law, and international law and disarmament. She also has a keen interest in the intersection between public international law and domestic public law matters.

Anna has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (hons) from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Laws (International Legal Studies) from New York University. She is currently completing her PhD, which is entitled ‘The Security Council’s Legislative Phase and the Rise of Emergency International Law-Making’.

Before beginning her academic career, Anna worked as a commercial lawyer in Melbourne and as a lawyer for non-government organisations in Australia, Uganda and the United States.
