I hold a 3 year Master in Landscape Architecture from UBC in Vancouver, B.C. I have worked professionally as a consultant in Vancouver, Calgary and Fort McMurray Canada; Abu Dhabi in the UAE and now as an academic/consultant in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Currently I am producing a regional plan for the Perth Metro Region based on targets of lowering VKT and GHG while increasing POS. The plans and perspectives will demonstrate the pay off and trade off in reaching the targets of housing more people with jobs and shopping in walkable, compact, complete, mixed-use, transit-served and amenity rich infill-developments. At question is one of: How intense must be the infill development to accrue any regional benefits? Tonnes of GHG equivalents, dwellings, persons, walking kilometres, jobs, shops, traffic generation, parking places and other such number are the results of the research. The method is ultimately transferable to other cities and countries.
