I am a third-year PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a research assistant at the Center for Governance and Sustainability and Global Environmental Governance Project.
My research interests include global environmental governance and global forest governance.
I hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Law from the University of São Paulo Law School (class of 2011), and an LL.M. degree from Yale Law School (class of 2012).
In the 2009-2010 academic year, I was a Fox International Fellow at Yale University, where I conducted research on deforestation in the Amazon Forest and climate change, looking at the relationship between the forest and climate change regimes and the REDD+ instrument.
In 2011, I worked as a consultant for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), producing two studies titled “Comparative Study on Environmental Law and Policy for Private Land in Developed and Developing Countries” and “Global Analysis of National and Subnational Legal Frameworks for REDD.”
