Summary
Currently at Victoria University's Centre for Strategic Economic Studies, James Doughney is immediate past President of the National Tertiary Education Union in Victoria and a former member of the union's National Executive. He is a current member of the Council of Victoria University. Doughney has published in a number of fields: the economics of ageing, ethics, higher education economics and policy, history of economic thought, gambling and gender. He is currently wrestling with four-digit field of research codes and the logic of electronic delivery of higher education. Doughney is desperate to find anyone who can explain coherently why he should bother to wrestle with either.
