Prof Davies leads the Allergy Research Group at QUT. She assembled pollen researchers nationally for the NHMRC AusPollen Partnership (2016-2020), to establish Australia’s national standardized pollen monitoring network, including design of quality control processes applied in world’s first thunderstorm asthma forecast system, recognised as an Impact Case Study by NHRMC in 2023. Her work focuses on improving diagnosis, treatment and mechanisms underlying allergic and infectious respiratory diseases. She served as Vice Chair of WHO International Union of Immunological Societies Allergen Nomenclature Committee, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Interest Group on Aerobiology and Air Pollution and the Immunotherapy Working Party of the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy. She is an inventor on patent granted in Australia and USA that underpin more specific immunodiagnosis and treatment for subtropical grass pollen allergy.
