Professor of Biological Oceanography & Head of the Coral Reef Laboratory, University of Southampton

Professor Jörg Wiedenmann studied Biology in Ulm, Germany and received his PhD in 2000 for his work about the biochemistry of fluorescent protein pigments of sea anamones. He is head of the Coral Reef Laboratory in the University of Southampton based at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, UK (http://noc.ac.uk/corals). He has received several prestigious awards for his research and teaching activities.
