Lucas Joppa is a scientist in the Computational Sciences Group at Microsoft Research where he focuses on the science, policy, and tools and technology necessary to conserve ecological systems. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Kent’s Durrell Institute for Conservation Ecology, an Honorary Conservation Fellow at the Zoological Society of London, and as a Special Advisor to the United Nation’s Environmental Program’s World Conservation Monitoring Centre.
