Maria O'Sullivan

Summary

Maria is a lecturer in the Faculty of Law and an Associate of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law at Monash University. Her teaching and research interests are administrative law and international refugee law. She has also undertaken research in the area of international human rights law.

She is the author of a number of international and national publications on the subjects of refugee law and administrative law including: ‘Non-state actors of Protection in Refugee law’ (2012) 24(1) International Journal of Refugee Law, and ‘Article 1C’ in Zimmerman A. (ed), 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol - a Commentary, Oxford University Press (co-authored with Prof. Susan Kneebone) (2010).

Maria is undertaking a PhD on the topic of Article 1C(5) of the 1951 Refugees Convention, dealing with cessation of refugee status, under the supervision of Professor Susan Kneebone.
