Markos Klonizakis is a Professor of Vascular and Clinical Physiology, at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery of Sheffield Hallam University. Markos currently leads Lifestyle, Exercise and Nutrition Improvement (LENI) Research Group, which focuses at developing and exploring the effects of lifestyle interventions in clinical and healthy-but-sedentary populations.
He currently leads the FISCU research programme, which explores the feasibility of using exercise as an adjunct therapy for people with Venous Ulceration, as well as a programme exploring the physiological effects of regional diets in cardiovascular health of sedentary populations, as well as a Heart Research UK-funded project on the exploration of the physiological effects of electronic cigarettes among others.
