Summary
Research interests include corporate finance, mutual fund performance, corporate governance, asset pricing, commodity pricing, derivative pricing and portfolio theory. Professor Heaney has published in internationally recognized journals as well as successfully attracting external funding including ARC discovery grants. He is currently Winthrop Professor of Finance, Accounting and Finance in the Business School at the University of Western Australia. He has held various academic positions at RMIT, the Australian National University and the University of Queensland. Prior to academia he worked as an analyst/programmer and as an accountant.
