I have worked performing environmental life cycle assessment as a consultant since 2005, performing analysis for a variety of sectors including the agricultural, chemical and building sectors. In 2009 I started performing analysis in the healthcare sector with a local anaesthetist, and this became my primary focus, combining my earlier degrees in physiology and pharmacology with my postgraduate studies in environmental engineering. In 2018 I started a PhD focused on decarbonising healthcare at the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne, which was completed at the end of 2021. My time is now split between being a Research Fellow at the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney and at the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Melbourne, where I am continuing my work focusing on decarbonising healthcare.
