I am a wildlife biologist working on the conservation of large charismatic mammals, and the conflict between wild animals and humans.
My PhD examined the status and conflict of African leopards, spotted hyenas and lions in two regions of southwestern Uganda. I have a particular affinity for large felids and have been lucky to film and study leopards, lions, and jaguars across three continents and in seven field sites.
When I'm not engaged in research work I serve as a cameraman and photographer for National Geographic Magazine and Television.
