Senior Lecturer in Social Research and Policy, UNSW Sydney

Diana Perche’s research interests focus on politics and public policy. She is a non-Indigenous researcher with a strong interest in how government decisions affect First Nations people in Australia, and how these decisions are influenced by institutional structures, ideology, evidence, activism and power. She is a Senior Lecturer in Social Research and Policy at the University of New South Wales, and program convenor of the Master of Public Policy and Governance. Previously, Diana worked in a number of policy-related positions, including in the Australian Public Service.

Diana has a BA (Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Politics and Public Policy from Macquarie University. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney, on the shifting politics of Aboriginal land rights in the Northern Territory.
