My research focuses on optical interfacing in trapped ion quantum computing and extending techniques from this field to biological applications. I am a member of the Centre for Quantum Dynamics and the Institute for Glycomics. As the research leader of the newly formed Joint Laboratory for Quantum Molecular Biology, I am interested in fostering investigations at the junction between physics and biology.
