Dr Jonathan Penm is a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney, Faculty of Medicine and Health, School of Pharmacy. His research focuses on improving hospital pharmacy services and the use of high-risk medicines, such as antimicrobials and opioid medications, in the hospital setting. Dr Penm is interested in health service research that focuses on developing and implementing evidence informed strategies and system level-interventions (e.g. education, policy, technology) to improve the use of medicines and minimise medication-related harms. Dr Penm completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Unviersity of Cinicnnati, US and has over 130 peer-reviewed publications in this field in both national and international journals.
