Dr. Marianne Peso manages the ARC ITTC Centre for Fruit Fly Biosecurity Innovation which aims to develop new, sustainable and environmentally friendly tools for controlling fruit fly pests that threaten horticulture.
She facilitates communication between researchers, industry, and university stakeholders. She works part-time on her animal behaviour research, focusing on Queensland fruit fly learning and its implications for biosecurity.
She is also an expert in social insect behaviour and pheromones in honey bee colonies.
