Maxine is a political scientist / senior lecturer at James Cook University, Queensland. Maxine is currently completing her second monograph for Routledge on the Great Barrier Reef (2021). Her first book, Environmental Activism and the Media: the Politics of Protest’ (Peter Lang Publishers, NY), explores processes between social movements, the media and political mobilizations within environmental governance.
