Associate Professor in Sociology and Anthropology, Monash University

I am a medical anthropologist and health sociologist who takes an interdisciplinary approach to explore the health and illness experiences of vulnerable populations. I am especially interested in ageing, disability, health and illness research, and work in Australia, Malaysia and Bangladesh. Specific topics I have explored include assistive technologies, amputation, neurological conditions and injuries, gynaecological and reproductive health, and mental illness.
